10 April 2018 – Centre Director for Enterprise Singapore based in China visits Ascendas OneHub GKC

Mr Ng, Secretary General of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council; and Centre Director for Enterprise Singapore based in China visited Ascendas OneHub GKC for a site inspection, together with Ms April Oh, regional director for South China at Enterprise Singapore. Mr Ng Kok Siong, Executive Vice President of Ascendas-Singbridge’s Sustainable Urban Development, Chief Executive Officer of Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Co., Ltd and General Manager at OneHub GKC, received the delegation and led the tour around the premises. The delegation visited the Singapore Manufacture Innovation Centre (SMIC), Singapore Centre, as well as the Sino-Singapore Joint Research Institute.


8 February 2018 -- An international medical innovation technology headquarters and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC)’s first co-working space to base in OneHub GKC

Ascendas OneHub GKC has entered into a cooperation agreement with UCOMMUNE to build the first co-working space in SSGKC.A framework cooperation agreement with Genzon Pharmaceutical Group to jointly develop a Southern China Biomedicine Incubation Base, a research and development centre and an international medical innovation technology headquarters was also signed. Both agreements were signed under the witness by Mr Stanley Loh, Singapore Ambassador to China.


21 August 2017 – Launch of Singapore Manufacturing Innovation Centre (SMIC)

A joint collaboration between International Enterprise Singapore and Ascendas-Singbridge, the SMIC is located with Ascendas OneHub GKC. The launch ceremony was graced by Mr Ong Ye Kung, Singapore Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for the Ministry of Defence; and Mr Chen Xiaohua, Guangzhou Huangpu District Mayor and Guangzhou Development District Deputy Director.
SMIC aims to be a one-stop shop to facilitate partnerships between the Singapore Industry 4.0 technology solution providers and Chinese enterprises looking to adopt such solutions. The platform will also help Singapore companies leverage on the rising demand in China, arising from the “Made in China 2025” initiative which aims to upgrade traditional industries and develop its advanced manufacturing sector through technology.


23 March 2017 – Launch of the International Innovation Platform

By tapping on Singapore’s experience in the areas of technological innovation and advancement, the Ascendas-Singbridge International Innovation Platform aims to develop an ecosystem that is nurturing for small and medium enterprises in their early start-up phases. The platform is fully funded, developed and operated by Ascendas-Singbridge.
The International Innovation Platform comprises of three components: a business centre to provide OneHub GKC tenants with spaces for collaboration and discussion; a technological innovation centre to assist smart manufacturing enterprises set up presence in SSGKC; an enterprise executive services centre to nurture and develop an ecosystem of innovating companies by servicing them in areas of company registration, financing, commercialising and protecting of intellectual property, as well as market development and promotion. The platform will also work with the Singapore Centre to better connect with innovative resources globally


25 June 2016 – Ascendas OneHub GKC signs a strategic collaboration agreement with EI Holdings

A strategic collaboration agreement was signed with EI Holdings for the latter to provide OneHub GKC tenants with a one-stop convenient and professional advice and consultation on all matters regarding studying abroad, transfers, life overseas and international education.


24 May 2016 – Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (Ipos) opens first overseas representative office in SSGKC’s Ascendas OneHub GKC

Located within Ascendas OneHub GKC, the first IP representative office of Ipos aims to help Singapore-based IP service providers to reach out to new, innovative businesses in China and vice versa. The office was unveiled by Mr Ong Ye Kung, the Singapore Minister for Education and Second Minster for the Ministry of Defence. The delegation team, which included Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee Deputy Director Mr Tan Minghe, Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee Secretary General Mr Chen Jianhua, as well as Ascendas-Singbridge’s Sustainable Urban Development Chief Executive Officer Mrs Nina Yang.


8 May 2016 – Korea Busan City Mayor visits Ascendas OneHub GKC

The mayor also witnessed the ribbon cutting ceremony of the CKA Medical Tourism Support Centre in OneHub GKC.


28 April 2016 – SSGKC organises an investment and promotion forum for its first industrial park

Held at OneHub GKC, SSGKC organised its first ever international investment and promotion forum for its industrial park. Senior management from Ascendas-Singbridge and close to 200 guests attended the event to witness the unveiling of Ascendas OneHub’s multi tenanted high rise building.


7 November 2015 – Signing ceremony for the Sino-Singapore International Joint Research Institute (SSIJRI)

To be located with Ascendas OneHub GKC, an investment agreement was signed for the development of the Sino-Singapore International Joint Research Institute. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The SSIJRI will be jointly developed by South China University, Nanyang Technological University, SSGKC administrative committee, SSGKC Investment and Development Co., Ltd.


29 October 2015 – Former Prime Minister of Singapore, Emeritus Senior Minister Mr Goh Chok Tong visits SSGKC

Singapore Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong visited SSGKC, together with Guangzhou City Mayor Chen Jianhua.


29 July 2015 – Unveiling of Singapore Centre in OneHub GKC

Serving as a one-stop platform for Singapore companies investing in China, the Singapore Centre aims to assist Singapore-based companies venturing into China in areas of investment consultancy, government facilitation, business matching as well as streamlined company registration and set up.


12 September 2014 Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visits Ascendas OneHub GKC
